This will be the 10th year I've painted the rock. My wife had the idea to have a celebration. She's throwing this celebration with the help of the Greenfield Chamber (greenfieldiowa.com), Operation Mom, the Patriot Guard Riders, and the Iowa National Guard.There will be ceremony with guest speakers at the rock and then we will roll into Greenfield where I'll have some personal artwork on display as well as prints and merchandise for sale.All are invited!

I am so impressed with this young man. He started painting a rock in Iowa to remember the veterans on Memorial weekend, back in 1999. Each year since he has painted a new work of art on the same rock.
It goes to show that every one of us has the power to touch thousands of lives in one way or another. Through painting this rock, he has inspired others over the years and gathered support for our heros, our soldiers!
My hat is off to you, Ray "Bubba" Sorensen.
